Your data

What Release Social keeps, how to take it with you, and how to delete it. Settings → Data is for owners: only an owner exports or deletes the workspace, and owners and admins choose how long history is kept.

Taking everything with you

Export the workspace downloads one file with the workspace's posts, schedules, results, the team and settings. Media files are listed, not included; secrets such as keys and tokens are never in it. You can export at any time, on every plan.

Insights has its own CSV of every post's results, and PDF reports.

How long history is kept

A new workspace keeps the audit log and the inbox for two years. For each, you can choose 90 days, 180 days or a year instead, or to keep them for the workspace's life.

Keeping less asks first. Entries older than the new limit are then removed for good within the hour, and every hour after that. Download the export first if you need them.

Deleting the workspace

Delete workspace… asks you to type the workspace's name exactly. Everything in it is deleted 7 days later: posts, schedules, history, media and the team's access. Until then everyone sees a banner, and an owner can choose Cancel deletion; nothing is removed. Download the export first if you want a copy.

Deleting your account

In Your account, Delete my account… asks you to type your email address, and a current code if you have a second step on. Your name leaves every workspace, every way to sign in ends, and your email is freed. The posts you wrote stay with their workspaces. A workspace with nobody else in it is deleted 7 days later. It can't be undone.

If you're the only owner of a workspace, or one of its named approvers, the page says what to change first.

Connecting other tools

Settings → Integrations connects Release Social to the tools you already use. An owner or admin sets it up.

  • API key: for Zapier, Make, n8n, a custom GPT in ChatGPT, or your own tools. Give it a name so you know which tool uses it. The key is shown once, so store it somewhere safe; we keep only a fingerprint. It can create drafts and read them, never approve or post, so what tools make still needs a yes. Revoke stops it at once; drafts it made stay.
  • Webhook: an address told when a post goes out and when one didn't post. Each call is signed with a secret, shown once, in the x-autosocial-signature header, so your tool can check it came from us.
  • Canva and Google Drive: each person connects their own, for Library and Create.

What we send to others

  • Networks get what you post to them, when you post it.
  • Claude, when your workspace adds its own Anthropic key, gets a post's words only when someone asks Help me write for Shorter or Warmer.
  • Your webhook and Slack get the events you set up in Settings → Integrations and Notifications.
  • Clients see only the post or calendar you share with them, through its private link.
