Library
Library keeps what your posts are made from, in four sections: Media, Templates, Hashtags and Replies. Each shows how many it holds, and Search the library narrows the open section.
Adding files
- Upload from your computer, or drop files anywhere on Library. Pictures can be PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP; videos MP4 or MOV; and PDF documents for LinkedIn. Each file can be up to 100 MB.
- Import from a link: a public address, including a shared Google Drive or Dropbox link.
- Import from Dropbox: pick files in Dropbox's own window, with nothing to connect first.
- Import from OneDrive: sign in to Microsoft, with a personal or a work or school account, and pick files in OneDrive's own window. Release Social keeps no connection to your account.
- Import from Pexels: search Pexels' free photos and videos and pick one. A photo keeps Pexels' description as its alt text, and the file shows who made it under Credit.
- Import from Unsplash: search Unsplash's free photos and pick one. Unsplash is told the photo was used, as it asks; the file shows who took it under Credit, and the app shows it from Unsplash.
- Import from Google Drive: connect your own Drive, then pick files in Google's own window. Release Social can open only the files you pick there, never the rest of your Drive, and only you see it.
- Import from Canva: connect your Canva, search your designs, and choose how to bring one in: PNG or JPG (one file for each page, up to 10), PDF, or MP4.
Uploads show their progress and keep going when you move on. Videos are checked once they arrive.
Media
Beside the files are your folders (with Create folder) and tags. Each tile shows a video's length, and ALT when the picture has alt text.
Choose a file to see:
- a preview, its size and type;
- its alt text, which describes the picture for people who can't see it. Write it once: it is saved on the picture and goes to every network that takes it;
- its folder and tags;
- which posts use it, and where each stands;
- Use in a post, which opens Create with the file in it;
- Delete.
A file can't be deleted while a post that can still go out uses it, or while it is the workspace's logo; the button says why. Deleting removes it from Library for good; posts that already went out keep it.
Templates
A template is a post's words, channels and media, ready to start from. Save one from a post's menu with Save as template. Each shows its networks and how many times it has been used. Use opens a new draft from it in Create; Delete removes the template, and posts started from it stay as they are.
Hashtags
A hashtag set is a group of tags you add in one tap, to a post's first comment in Create. New hashtag set takes a name and the tags, separated by spaces, each with its #. Each set shows how many posts carry it.
Suggested from your posts lists tags used on at least two of your posts in the last 90 days, ranked by their likes and comments. Suggestions show once your posts have results.
Replies
Saved replies are answers to common questions. In Inbox, choosing one fills the reply box; you can change it, and nothing is sent until you choose Send. Add and delete them here, or from a conversation's menu in Inbox.
