Create

Create is where a post is written: once, for every channel, with a preview of how each network will show it. It opens as a sheet over whatever you were doing, so you don't lose your place.

Opening Create

  • Create in the sidebar or the rail, or in the middle of the bar on a phone.
  • ⌘N (Ctrl+N), where your browser lets it through, or "New post" in search.
  • Typing in the box at the top of Home, which opens Create with your words.
  • An open queue time on the Plan or Home, or New post on a campaign, which starts the post there.

On a phone, Create first asks how to start; on a computer, Create on an empty sheet offers the same:

  • Start from nothing.
  • A template: text, channels and media ready. Save a post as a template from its page.
  • From Google Drive or Canva, when you have connected them.
  • Import a spreadsheet: a CSV file with a title and a text column, and optionally intent (feed, reel or story). Up to 200 posts at a time. If one row is wrong, nothing is imported and the row is named. Imported posts arrive as drafts with no channels or time.
  • Your blog's feed: set it up in Settings → Publishing. New entries arrive as drafts and still need approval.

Channels and format

Pick the channels the post goes to. Each chip shows the network and the account. When you have three or fewer, all start picked.

Choose Post, Reel or Story. A note says which channels take it, which skip it, and which need a picture or video ("Story: Instagram only · LinkedIn will skip it").

Writing

Write once. The count follows the channel with the tightest limit: "20 left before the Threads limit", or "12 over the Threads limit of 500", with the words past the limit marked in the preview.

Beside the words is a preview for each picked channel, drawn the way that network shows a post, with its crop, its length and where it folds the text.

All channels holds what every channel shares. Next to it is a tab for each channel with what only that network has, and its own words if you want them; a tab with its own settings gets a dot.

  • Instagram: music for a Reel, with the music and original volume; up to three collaborators; a place; a trial Reel.
  • TikTok: who can watch.
  • YouTube: the title (up to 100 characters), the category and a playlist.
  • Pinterest: the Pin's title and link.
  • LinkedIn: post as the company page or as yourself.
  • X: a thread. A blank line starts the next post in the thread, and each post has its own count.
  • Google Business: a Learn more link.

Options a format can't take are left out when the post is saved.

Pictures and video

Add media opens the media sheet over Create.

  • Add files from your computer (choose them, or drop them), from Library, from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Canva, from Pexels' free photos and videos or Unsplash's free photos, or from a link.
  • Put them in order by dragging, or with the grip and the arrow keys. The first leads, and is a carousel's first card.
  • Choose a file to see it large with what was measured (size, length, codec, frame rate), and to write its alt text. Alt text describes the picture for people who can't see it; it is saved on the picture and goes to every network that takes it.
  • Where it goes: a chip for each channel, so one channel can take other files.
  • Each channel is checked in words, with the fix: "Reel: up to 90 s. Trim it to 1:30, or turn Facebook Pages off for this post."

Pictures can be PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP; videos MP4 or MOV; and a PDF becomes a LinkedIn document. Each file can be up to 100 MB. Uploads keep going when the sheet or Create closes, and saving waits for them. Covers for a Reel and the YouTube thumbnail are chosen on the post's page.

More options

More options lists its values, and opens a sheet with:

  • First comment: posted right after the post on Instagram, Threads and Facebook. Insert a saved hashtag set, or add tags from your best posts.
  • Tracked link: one link with its UTM tags. Source, medium, campaign and content are filled in from the first channel, the campaign and the title until you type over them. A short link is made when the post is saved.
  • Campaign: which campaign it belongs to.
  • Label: pick one in use, or make one with a name and a color. The label shows on the Plan.
  • Internal note: for the team only. It is never posted.

Help me write

Help me write offers Shorter, Warmer and Tidy up. The change shows word by word: removed words struck through, new ones highlighted, and what made it (Claude, or the built-in tidy-up). Choose Use this, Keep mine or Try again. Nothing changes until you accept.

Tidy up fixes spacing, line breaks and hashtags and is always there. Shorter and Warmer need Claude, through your workspace's own Anthropic API key: an owner or admin adds it in Settings → Publishing, and Claude's use is billed to your Anthropic account. With Claude, your words are sent to Anthropic only when you ask.

When to post

When to post opens a calendar and the chosen day's times, each with a reason: the best time for the picked channels, an open queue time, or a busy time with what is already there. Other time… takes any time. Times are in the workspace's time zone.

Repeat brings the post back every 2, 4, 8 or 13 weeks after it is posted. Each time, a copy comes back as a draft for review; nothing repeats by itself.

Sending it on

The main button says what happens next, and ⌘↵ presses it.

  • If someone else approves your posts, it names them: "Ask Ivo to approve". The time you picked goes with the request, and the post is scheduled for it, or put in the queue, when the last approval comes in.
  • If you approve your own posts, it schedules for the time you picked, adds to the queue, or posts now.
  • Save draft keeps it without asking anyone.

Saving opens the post's page.

Closing Create with words in it keeps them as a draft on the Plan, with Undo. Closing an empty sheet keeps nothing.

Changing a post

Choose Edit on the post's page. Only a draft, or a post sent back with changes asked for, can be edited; in review or approved, it can't, so what goes out is what was approved. To change an approved post, Duplicate it from its menu, edit the copy and ask again, then archive the first.

Without a connection

When you're offline, Create says so. Save draft keeps the post on this device and sends it when you're back. If the same post changed somewhere else in the meantime, you see both versions and choose: Use mine, Keep both or Keep theirs. Nothing is overwritten until you choose. Asking for approval and scheduling need a connection, and More options and the time aren't kept offline.
