Get a client’s yes without giving them an account

One private link per post: they see it as it will look, and approve or ask for changes.

Updated

Clients answer faster when there is nothing to sign up for. In Release Social a client approves one post from a private link: no account, no password, and they never count as one of your people.

1. Check client links are on

An owner or admin turns Client approval links on or off for the whole workspace in Settings → Approvals. While they are off, no new link can be made and the ones already sent don’t open. Client links come with Team and up.

2. Share the post

Open the post while it is in review and choose Share with client. A private link is made and copied. Send it the way you already talk to your client: it shows that post and nothing else.

3. What your client sees

Your workspace’s name, and its logo on Agency and up; the post as each network will show it; when it is planned; and Approve or Ask for changes, which needs a note. It opens on any phone.

After they answer, the page says thank you, and offers your shared calendar if you have one.

4. Your team keeps the last word

The client’s answer shows on the post’s approval steps, as “Your client approved · Client link”. A client’s yes doesn’t post anything: the post is approved once your approvers have said yes too, and if your last approver says yes first, the post waits for the client. A note sent back is pinned on the post, and the post goes back to whoever wrote it.

Keeping track of links

In Inbox → Approvals, Waiting for others says whose turn it is and whether a client link is out. To stop a link, choose Stop the client link from the post’s menu.
